The prestigious accounting firm Auren Auditores ALC, SL, Alicante, has audited the annual accounts of the sports association Altea Yacht Club.

As each year a demanding team of professional auditors have thoroughly reviewed, for 5 days, the balance sheet, income statement, statement of changes in equity and economic memory of the yacht club for the year ended 2016.

The Board of Directors of the Nautical Club of Altea, chaired by José Román Zurutuza, is responsible for formulating the annual accounts, so as to express a true and fair view of the heritage, financial situation and results of this sports association and its management port, as December 31, 2016, in accordance with the applicable financial information regulatory framework and internal control necessary to allow the preparation of the annual accounts free of material misstatements.

After the review, the Board of Directors has convened the ordinary general assembly of members of the Altea Yacht Club for April 15, coinciding with the feast of Holy Saturday, as is customary. At this general assembly of partners, it is expected that the audited annual accounts will be finally approved to be deposited in the Mercantile Registry of Alicante in order to give them publicity and free access.

Both the accounting audit procedure and the public registration of the annual accounts are not mandatory for a social entity such as the Altea Yacht Club, but since 1994, management and all the partners have voluntarily and maximum transparency, accessibility and proper administrative management, that a complete review be carried out by independent accounting experts and the annual accounts drawn up be published.
